A detail of floor treatment Art Museum Dust Collection Weaving by Kelly Cobb. Cobb states, “Dust gathers quite differently in relation to how patterns are bound in fabric or even how fibers combine into weave. A Jacquard loom was used articulate each dust, embedding each into cloth. The delicate and detailed microscopy combine. Clusters of dust repeat, all in varied and complex shaded satins. The residue becomes the subject perceivable. The by-product of dust seems illuminated and the barely visible can be accessed by touch.”
