ART MUSEUM DUST COLLECTION
March 2009

This view of Hwang’s montage features imagery from the Harn Museum of Art, Museum fur Moderne Kunst (Frankfurt, Germany), Limerick City Gallery of Art (Ireland), and Seattle Art Museum. Cobb discusses the fabric floor treatment she created for her JEMA installation by stating, “The signature fabric in the Art Museum Dust Collection is patterned with configurations and varied scale of dust microscopy. Dust is woven via the Jacquard process into dust cloth. The notion of embedding the trace into cloth by way of pattern and structure is a central theme in Art Museum Dust Collection. My design engages a notion of the Collection simultaneously as art and fashion.”
